Our Women’s Ministry strives to meet the needs of all the women in our church and the surrounding community through Bible Study, Fellowship, Special Events and Programming and Missions.

We try to provide something for everyone from high school/college age through senior adulthood and are working to add new programming to expand our ministry. You can join in a community of women whose aim is to grow closer to their Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage one another in Christian love. See Study options under below.

In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. Teaching videos are key to the understanding of this study.

An Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) provides you with an opportunity to be involved, known & loved within Mount Vernon. ABF classes provide opportunities for Bible study, building relationships, prayer & service.
ABFs are groups of about 8-100 members who meet together each Sunday. The size of these groups makes interactive learning very effective and relationships easy to form.
