About the Event
Join us for a tour of Montpelier, the lifelong home of James Madison, fourth President of the US, father of the Constitution and architect of the Bill of Rights. We will explore the histories and legacies of James and Dolley Madison, the Enslaved Community, and the Constitution as we journey through the landscape and inside the Madison’s home. Then it’s on to Michie Tavern (ca. 1784) where servers in period attire will offer a bountiful Southern Midday Fare! A stop at a local apple orchard will complete the trip! Cost: $100 due at sign up.
