The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania Including A Tour of Millionaires Row in Williamsport
This 4 day/3 night tour will be based in Williamsport, PA and will include a day trip to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The Grand Canyon, also referred to as the Pine Creek Gorge, stretches for over 45 miles with depths of nearly 1,500 feet. The dynamic topography creates many scenic wonders including steep canyon walls and waterfalls. You will experience the Upper Gorge on the Grand Canyon Covered Wagon Tour and get a chance to observe the 800-foot deep, glaciallycarved canyon from the Overlook! In Williamsport, a costumed guide will take us on a tour of Millionaires Row, including a visit to the Rowley House built in 1888 for E. A. Rowley, one of the wealthiest men in Pennsylvania as well as the Thomas T. Taber Museum. In the Museum, explore galleries including A Journey Through Time, Lumbering Heritage, American Indian and the Shempp Model Train Collection. A sightseeing cruise on the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha will round out the day. Tour will include 3 nights lodging, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners including the historic Peter Herdic House and the Carriage House. Cost: $675 double occupancy; $900 single. A deposit of $250 will secure your reservation.
