Join us for Sight and Sound’s production of “Moses”. Set adrift as a baby, Moses is an unlikely hero – until God calls him to lead His people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. Journey with him as he ventures through the wilderness, encounters God at the burning bush, and ascend to the top of Mount Sinai. Dinner at Miller’s Smorgasbord will follow the play. The next day, we travel to the Brandywine Valley to Hagley, the original home of E.I. duPont. It was there that he built his first home and began the black powder manufacturing business. Our visit will include a tour through the original home, the gardens, grounds, and the black powder yards. Demonstrations in the nineteenth century machine shop and witnessing a black powder explosion complete the tour. Following lunch at the DuPont Country Club, we head back to MVBC. Cost: $315 per person, double occupancy; $385 single occupancy. We will board the motorcoach at 6 am on Thursday and plan to return to MVBC around 7:30 pm on Friday.
