God’s Word clearly states the importance of Children’s Ministry (Psalm 127:3; Mark 10:14) and the important role parents play as the primary discipleship leaders (Psalm 78:5-6; Deuteronomy 6:5-9). It is an honor and a privilege for Mount Vernon Kids to come alongside in support and equip parents to disciple their kids. Faithful Followers

A homeschool support group ministry of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Family-based meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month (September-May) • E213
Fellowship Time 6pm & Meetings • 6:30pm-8:30pm

Storybook Bibles (paraphrased Bible stories) for Younger Children

Storybook Bibles are a great way for children to be instantly engaged in the marvelous stories and miracles in the Bible. They will form foundational knowledge of the Bible as they ask to hear these stories again and again.

Study Bibles for Kids

As kids grow and change, so will their Bible. In order to truly hide God’s word in their heart, encourage your growing child to begin reading a complete Bible in a translation that is comfortable for them. New International Readers Version is a great first complete Bible for beginning readers. As they read more independently, consider NIV, NKJV, or ESV. Look for a study Bible designed especially for kids to help begin to engage with God’s word on their own, in an age-appropriate way.
